Best hillwalk in the Red Cuillin
Mondays 2nd July, 6th August
Meet in Broadford car park opposite Waterfront and near footbridge.

The Red Cuillin are notoriously difficult to access due to steep scree-covered slopes. An approach from Strollamus gives the best climb to Beinn na Caillich with fantastic views all across South Skye. (6 hours approx). We do not anticipate snow on this walk, but if the weather is too bad for the hill a coast-to-coast alternative will be offered.

All-day walk
Boreraig and Suisnish
Mondays 9th July, 13th August
Meet at the car park in Broadford opposite Waterfront and near footbridge.

From Cill Croisd in Strath Suardil, by hill tracks to the abandoned village of Boreraig, then by coastal path to Suisnish (pictured). The clearance of the population from Suisnish in 1854 was one of the most heartbreakingly well-documented. Mountain views all round this walk. (6 hours).
All-day walk
Leitir Fura
Mondays 16th July, 20th August
Meet at the Leitir Fura car park near Kinloch at 10.00.

Explore the wildlife of these reviving native woodlands on a good walk along to the abandoned village of Leitir Fura. (4 hours approx)

All-day walk
The Lochalsh Peninsula
Mondays 23rd July, 27th August
Meet at the Kyle of Lochalsh swimming pool parking. From Skye Bridge turn left at traffic lights, in Kyle and at the end of the one-way street section turn left and immediately right.

This walk takes in such a variety of landscape in Lochalsh, from the town of Kyle, over the scenic estate paths to Balmacara then the rugged inland woods and hills over to the picturesque village of Plockton.

Arrive in Plockton in time to take the train back to Kyle at 4pm. (Modest fare not included).
All-day walk
Aird of Sleat
30th July 2018 only

Meet at the very end of the road South from Ardvasar where there is limited parking.

A vehicle track continues the line of the public road and a short section across coastal turf brings us to the Southern tip of Skye. Interesting remote houses, sea life, terrestrial animals and plants.

(4 - 5 hours return trip)
