Ben Suardil - a limestone mountain

For an unusual limestone experience in Skye, climb to the summit of Ben Suardil. It is only 281m, but gives mountain views of the Red Cuillin and Blaven, as well as to Ardnamurchan and the Small Isles. The limestone rock has many interesting details. The sink holes on the summit can collapse, so best to stay out of them. Park at the high point of the B8083 from Broadford to Torrin, ascend open slopes (no path) for 1.5km, return same in under two hours. Dogs on leads, please.
